So, after a long break.. probably too long, I´ve returned to the blog. In my defense, I didn´t feel like I had anything worth writing about for the past little while anyway.

Butttt.. now I´m back on the road. Left behind the first winter of my life in hopes of warm weather, waves and adventure. Only the latter has been somewhat realized 12 days in, but I´m confident weather and waves are well on their way.

South America has been on the travel agenda for well over three years, and finally I´m here. Day 12 of 92.

Highlights thus far:
- Metropolitan Lima, Peru in all its splendor - Lima Centro, Miraflores and Barranco
- Not one, but TWO 21+ hr bus rides through the Andes to Cusco, the launching point of Peru.
- Language barriers with a 12 years old.. I gave up and challenged her to tictactoe.. and she kicked my arse.
- Finally making it to Aguas Caliente, the Machu Picchu Pueblo.
- A breathtaking 6am spent overlooking Machu Picchu.
- Hiking Wayna Picchu (the mountain in the background pictured in all of the cadid postcards of Machu Picchu).
- Peanut Butter Banana sandwiches 4 life.
- Finding some unexpected and wonderful artist talent in this country:
- Augustus Hidalgo esculturadinamicas.blogspot.com
- Joynin Guerra Pictura Abstracta
- First real day on the beach.
